What is Electrolysis?

A Quick Backstory

Electrolysis is a procedure for permanent hair removal used around the world. Discovered in 1875, electrolysis is an effective and time honored method. Dr. Charles E. Michel, a St. Louis, Missouri ophthalmologist, originally used it to permanently remove an ingrown eyelash.

Electrolysis permanently removes hair for all hair and skin types.

An extremely fine, disposable electrode or wire probe is inserted into the hair follicle without puncturing the skin. Current is then used. The current travels down the probe to the follicle’s base, destroying the blood supply germinating the hair. Once destroyed, the hair gently slides out with the help of tweezers.

The procedure can be done on any part of the body where unwanted hair is present. Popular areas - Face - Legs - Arms - Bikini - Neck.
